It felt like a couple of his attacks were balanced around abusing i-frames to avoid damage but I'd need to fight him again to try some more tactics. 1st boss was a decent fight though a bit easy on standard difficulty. Weapon swap attacks are a nice touch to make weapon transitions smooth. I also like Hilda's animations with the journal when unlocking new entries. The journal is neat with having it be in the game's language but translated when clicking. Voice work is good enjoyable personality. I'm not going to use them in the full game but kb/m controls seem to work well and defaults actually seem appropriately thought out. This is fine for me though some might want full rebinding. 4 types of control schemes for controller. Dualsense support with button layout (hotswaps between controller and kb/m too!). Other than that, thanks for giving us a playable demo! With this game coming out in about a month from now, I don't see much being improved as far as the combat is concerned. Overall, it wasn't bad but I was kinda hoping something would wow me enough to make me want to wishlist this. No way to change M&KB bindings (even though it detects icons for keys) & no extensive controller settings besides the 4 controller presets that change a few button / trigger / bumper spots (but maybe those will be added in the full game later?) Didn't see an option to disable subtitles (could be distracting for many who would want to get immersed in the world) Hitting basic enemies & the 2 bosses I came across felt like it had no weight behind each attack You can't move your character while blocking (other souls-like games you can) The combat feels delayed like it takes longer to wind up your attacks & powers Enemies can be seen clipping through terrain at times + Stamina isn't decreased when doing basic attacks (nice QoL improvement to the souls-like space IMO) + Different difficulty options for accessibility is nice writing in her journal when new info is gathered for lore) is a nice detail + Animations with the protagonist woman (i.e.
